I would like to introduce to you two people who have been vital to me becoming the person I am today. These people are my parents, Jennifer and Charlie. I know everyone says that they wouldn't be the person they are today without the influence of their parents, its a go to line. But, I truly, TRULY mean it to the "enth" degree when I say it. Their steadfastness in adversity, their work ethic, their love for each other, their love for their children, and their journey from humble beginnings to a fairy tale life and marriage have been the cornerstone setting the foundation for the woman you see before you today.
Anyone who meets my parents instantly comments on the love that they share. They say things like: "Did the honeymoon ever end?" "You two act like you're still teenagers" "Is this real? Are you guys actually like this all the time?" "How are you still so in love after 25 years together?" "That can actually happen?". Why yes, ladies and gents, it most certainly can! I've had a front row seat to it my whole life. Never once have these two wavered from each other. NOT. ONCE. Like, they're joined at the hip (seriously, dad follows mom around like puppy dog and mom whines whenever he has to work nights cause then they can't cuddle haha). Watching them has taught me how to love, how to be loved, and how to recognize real love when I see it. And for that, I am forever grateful <3
